  • Hi @mgoeben,

We’re sorry to see that there’s an error related to Yoast SEO on your site. 1GB should be more than enough memory and the PHP version is fine.

Can you confirm that your server meets the other minimum requirements? We have the details here: https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/.

Also, can you give us some details about what was happening when this error appeared? If this was after an update, does clearing any plugin or server cache solve the problem?

    Hi!

The server meets the requirements, this is a fresh installed Ubuntu 20.04 Server, I see this problem on many sites at this new server. After Update to 14.2 the page and backend is broken.
I could index the sites manually with wp cli, but the problem did not change, the WordPress gets unresposive, sometimes I can get the page, sometimes not, and if something gets displayed it takes minimum 10 seconds, without yoast the page loads immediately.

    Regards

    Marco

@mgoeben Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.4.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. ?
If the issue is still occurring after confirming WordPress is updated, this may be due to a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and performing a conflict check to see whether the issue still occurs when using a default theme and only Yoast SEO active? We have a guide on performing a conflict check here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts

    Hi!

Wordpress is version 5.4.1. I got this problem with a huge site including woocommerce, but also on some small sites that a mostly naked wordpress installations. Themes are varying, plugins also, there is nothing in common, but just the Ubuntu 20.04 server with PHP running as fastcgi.

    Regards

    Marco

    Hi,

To clarify, if you performed a conflict check on the sites with the issue by deactivating all your non Yoast plugins and switching to a basic theme like 2019, does the issue still happen?

This guide explains more about how to do a conflict check: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

If so, based on the information you provided, we expect this to be a bug. We’re actively using the bug tracking on our GitHub repository so your best next step would be to create a new issue for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You will need an account to create a new issue. If this is your first bug report, please check out: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-write-a-good-bug-report/.
