PHP mail issues

Hi All,

I run a hospitality ordering site which we had a developer build he’s integrated the php mail command to fire off several emails as confirmation of the order.

We use the plugin “allow php in posts”.

Recently we’ve had issues with clients not receiving emails but it’s totally random sometimes they receive them sometimes they don’t.

We’ve checked with the host and it’s not a server issue. The developer swears the code is sound.

Is there a way of logging what emails have been sent through using the mail command?

I know nothing about how emails send so can’t pinpoint the problem.

Any information would be grateful or even a shove in the right direction.
