php install issue?

  • I am setting WordPress up on a new server and I am running into an odd error:

    “Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL which is required for WordPress.”

    I have mySQL 4.1 installed and the isapi version of php 5.1 – phpinfo() spits out the right info.

    The database/username/password combos are there and I can connect to it using and external shell (mysqlcc).

    Any suggestions??
