• I think this is the right forum.

My upload max is set to 1MB — much too small. I’d prefer unlimited (or 100Mb would probably work.) I have a limit increase plugin, but it does nothing. I’ve had WP for about 14 months, but I’m getting tired of the work-arounds. My website it unlimited. I don’t host any other bloggers. I searched here, but what I found is not basic enough for me.

I went to the beginner’s guide and there it says to edit or create a php.ini. I’m assuming it’s a file that would be named/listed as ‘php.ini.’ I don’t have that in my files. My coding knowledge is html 4.0. (I know–old!) Essentially I know zero about php. Whenever I’ve used it, it’s been on files that indicate specific lines to fill in or change. No Problem with that, but how do I create a php.ini file? I have no clue as to the format or information on it. What I need is an existing page with instructions on what I can and can’t change/edit. Second best would be a very well explained template. (Best of all would be a simple fill-in option on administrator setup/change/update pages.)

    So . . . how do I create the php.ini?

    TIA,
    Faith
