PHP functions for manipulating PODS relationship field types and definitions

I think the easiest way is to use a filter: pods_form_ui_field_pick_custom_values

You would not create the options through the Pods UI in this case but fully set them through your own PHP filter function.

What is the expected return value of said filter? Is it something of the form

          'name' => 'name1',
          'value' => 'value1'
          ),
    array(
          'name' => 'name2',
          'value' => 'value2'
    )
)

where “name” is the label and “value” is the value of the choice?

It’s parsed here: https://github.com/pods-framework/pods/blob/2.9.3/classes/fields/pick.php#L2316-L2344

So it’s either a key => value array pair (easier if you are fully overriding) or the same string notation as you would input in a textarea.
