Since the automatic update for the ‘Widget Options’ plugin three days ago, any page on my site which uses the Jetpack Forms building block now presents with the following error (in debug log)

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string in bxproject/blog/wp-includes/formatting.php:1108

Disabling the ‘Widget Options’ plugin resolves the issue. The site/page/form was working fine before the update.

Is there a way to resolve this issue?

Note: Plugin currently disabled on my site until a resolution is found.

    Hi @bxproject,

We’ve added an option to disable Widget Options on posts/pages blocks. Please navigate to Widget Options settings’ page (settings > Widget Options), and disable the “Gutenberg Page & Post Block Options“.

    Thanks,
    Mej

The issue is not resolved. I am getting fatal errors on numerous sites. Disabling the widget in gutenberg does NOT resolve the fatal error.

I rolled back the plugin to 3.9 and it works for now.

Thank you for your quick support. I have to be honest and we have phased out Widget Options on our site in favor of a custom plugin.
