PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Requests_Hooks’
-
I updated to WP 6.2 on three websites over the weekend and started getting the dreaded “There has been a critical error on this website. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.” error. on all of them
I assumed the issue was related to the update, so I reverted back to 6.1.1 and am still experiencing the same issue. In the php error and WP debug log files, I see this repeatedly…
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Requests_Hooks’ not found in /usr/local/webs/…/wp-includes/class-wp-http-requests-hooks.php:18
The odd thing is that the critical error is not constant, Sometimes the sites load ok, but other times the error occurs. Refreshing the browser (maybe a couple of times) typically loads the page as well.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this and what the solution might be? Thank you.
