Check the referrer — you may see that if someone is directly hitting PHP files (i.e., someone looking to see if you have vulnerable files) on your site.

Do you see the error if the site is approached through “proper” pathways?

    Hi @sterndata

    Thanks for your answer ??

The referrer is my own site so it’s like:

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in MYSITE/wp-includes/theme-compat/embed.php on line 13, referer: https://MYSITE/wp-includes/theme-compat/embed.php

Do you see the error if the site is approached through “proper” pathways?

    What do you mean exactly?

    Thanks!

Is “embed.php” being referenced directly via a GET or POST? That’s the sort of error you’d see if it were.
