    Hello,

    What should be the FTP permissions for the error file php-errors.log ? 640 ?

    And can we change the file name ?

    This can vary a lot depending on server configuration. The file needs to be writable by PHP. If you’re not sure what permissions that would require, take a look at the files in /wp-content/uploads – something similar would probably work.

    And can we change the file name ?

    Yes. The file name doesn’t matter; you can pick any name you like. Just make sure that the error_log setting matches the file name.
