PHP error related to reactivation of Testimonials Plugin

  • Like others, I was getting an error message related to the PHP version after updating and trying to activate the Testimonials plugin.

    I checked with my hosting service, GoDaddy, and discovered that my site was still using PHP 5.2. I was able to update it to 5.3.

    However, I still can’t activate the Testimonials plugin.

    Here’s the current error message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting ‘)’ in /home/content/78/6255678/html/wp-content/plugins/testimonials-widget/lib/aihrus/class-aihrus-common.php on line 88

    Any suggestions for how to resolve this?
