PHP deprecated notice in PHP 7.4

  • I noticed this in my logs:

    >PHP Deprecated: Function create_function() is deprecated in /wp-content/plugins/wp-spamshield/wp-spamshield.php on line 2033

    using PHP 7.4 and plugin version 1.9.21

    I’m interested as I’ve got the same wp-spamshielf error showing and I’m on PHP7.3

    I’m getting the same error. I’ve had to deactivate it. Doesn’t seem to be anyone from wp-spamshield helping.

    Main page now says “This plugin has been closed and is no longer available for download” so looks like it’s shut down. A recommendation in another thread was to try the Antispam Bee plugin.
