    Hard to say why the PHP is not getting executed. But you can try putting

    <?php echo 'hello world'; ?>

    this code in ad inserter and enable the PHP toggle and check if you see the hello world test in your page or still seeing issue.

    If that code is also giving issue, you need to figure out what’s causing the PHP not to work.
