PHP allow_url_fopen

  • Hi –

    WP Pipes looks like very powerful plugin.

    In settings > WPPipes Requirements shows that PHP allow_url_fopen should be turned on. We’ve received security advice not to enable allow_url_fopen

    will WPPipes work without that being enabled – I’m asking so we don’t need to go through various tasks and setup only to discover something not working and wondering why…

    Hi,

    As you know, WPPipes is used to pick data from other sources then import into your WP sites. So WPPipes have to read content from other sites if you want to pick data from the external sites. That is why WPPipes need to have enabled allow_url_fopen for some cases. I think you could still try to use WPPipes without enabling allow_url_fopen.
