    Hi,

I see that you’ve made a restart of the original GADWP plugin. After the takeover by ExactMetrics I’ve switched to GAinWP, but that developer doesn’t seem to have the time to continu, so now I noticed that you are active again and I’m wondering what the status of this plugin is and will be.

I’ve installed it on my website, but when I tried to authorize the plugin I had a critical error in my email:
Een fout van het type E_COMPILE_ERROR werd veroorzaakt op regelnummer 65 van het bestand /.../wp-content/plugins/analytics-insights/tools/src/Deconf/Utils.php. Foutmelding: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is no longer supported

I’ve fixed that myself by replacing the curly braces by square brackets.

After this changes the plugins is working on PHP 7.4. However on PHP 8.0.13 the authorization took place, but another critical error was generated and no profiles were shown. I didn’t receive an email and there was nothing in my error log (might be a server issue on my end). So that’s why I went back to 7.4.

After a successful authorization via PHP 7.4 I upgraded to PHP 8.0 again. It looks like the plugin is still working, but in the error log this error showed up:
PHP Warning: The magic method AIWP_Manager::__wakeup() must have public visibility in /.../wp-content/plugins/analytics-insights/analytics-insights.php on line 69

So hopefully you can pick up these issues. Maybe it’s good to compare your code with GAinWP, where some issues already have been fixed regarding to the old GADWP plugin.

If you continu the development of this plugin again, I might migrate my clients websites as well. So please let me know your plans.

    Kind regards,
    Jos Klever

    Hi,

5.4.7 should be fully functional on PHP 8, please update. Anyway, the entire library will be updated soon to fully support GA4 and the new library is PHP 8.X compatible.

Thanks! These issues are solved now. I’ve removed authorization and set it up again.

It’s good to hear the other plans, so I’ll certainly keep an eye on this plugin.
