PHP 8.3 warning “Function wp_enqueue_script() was called incorrectly.”
-
Hey!
Thank you for a great plugin. Impressive functionality.
I’m testing it with WP 6.6 RC2 and PHP 8.3, and when Ajax Search Lite is enabled, and I open Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets, I get the following warning:
Notice: Function wp_enqueue_script() was called incorrectly. "wp-editor" script should not be enqueued together with the new widgets editor (wp-edit-widgets or wp-customize-widgets). Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 5.8.0.) in /home/sustain2/oldrup.net/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6085
Disabling Ajax Search Lite makes it go away.
WP_DEBUG needs to be enabled, and I’m using a classic theme, suppose that’s required too.
Is that something you can reproduce?
Btw the functionality appears fine. It’s just a backend notice, so not critical by any means.
