    Hi,

There are many plugins that we use that are still not compatible with php 8.0 so if you don’t allow backward compatibility with php 7.4 we are gonna be forced to replace your plugin or replace the other plugins. Which by the way it’s gonna be very hard to accomplish either way.

Isn’t there any way to keep using your plugin with php 7.4 at least until 8.0 it’s more spreaded (plugins compatibility wise)? Some tweak or else?

    Thanks for you help!
    Regards

    Hello @egocefalo,

Our plugin is compatible with PHP 7.4. As PHP has discontinued the support for PHP 7.4 we have changed the suggested version to PHP 8.0.

    Hello @ronyp

Great! thank you so much for the fast reply. I got worried because when I checked the version details before updating I found the warning there: “Error: This plugin requires a newer version of PHP. Click here to learn more about updating PHP.” and since none of the other plugins I updated today showed the same warning I thought it was exclusively Booster’s related.

Thanks again for your plugin and your help.

    Hello again @ronyp

I went ahead and tried to update your plugin and it wont update, I tried several times with the same result. The only warning is the one on the version details: “Error: This plugin requires a newer version of PHP. Click here to learn more about updating PHP.”

So WP it’s not letting me update the plugin.

Any idea of what’s my problem?

    Thank you!

Same happens to me, cant update the plugin to the newer version. It says theres a newer version but doesnt work with the current PHP version.

I would like to update as soon as possible, as for what I read on the changelog theres multiple vulnerability fixes.

    Thank you
