  • Hi @ochoppee

    Thanks for reaching out!

If I understand you correctly, you received the 500 Critical Error on your website after updating WooCommerce to version 7.5.1, right?

Can you please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled and see if this works?

If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

If this did not resolve the issue, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Let us know how it goes!

No I received a critical error after switching to php 8.0 with all addons and plugins disabled except for Woocommerce, I am unable to access Woocomerce status while I have php 8.0 enabled on my hosting. They have depreciated php 7.4, and advise me to switch to php 8.0.

These are the only logs available after switching back to PHP 7.4 from PHP 8.0 on ochoppee.ca, I chose ochoppee.ca because it is a fresh site with plugins disabled and base 2023 theme.

    Hi @ochoppee

Thanks for sharing the requested information above.

I understand that you received the critical error after switching to PHP 8.0 with all add-ons and plugins disabled except for WooCommerce.

CRITICAL Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 98304 bytes) in /home/alberta1862195/public_html/ochoppee.ca/wp-admin/includes/admin.php on line 65

Checking the error logs, this is one of the most common WordPress errors, and you can easily fix it by increasing the PHP memory limit in WordPress. You can follow the solutions in the support documentation about Increasing the WordPress Memory Limit

    Hope this helps!

Well your posts instructions are for 256M and my memory limit is already 512M, so would should it be set at?

Also wp-config is already set to

    define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘1024M’ );

I am using a default Twenty Twenty-Three for default setup for ochoppee.ca which is my test template to get php 8.0 working.

I was able to get the 3 of my 6 sites working with php 8.0…..thank you.

I am working on the other 3 sites, 2 of which are most likely going to work, the third website I will have to disable and enable plugin by plugin and test to get it working.

    Hi @ochoppee

I’m glad you were able to get 3 out of your 6 sites to work using PHP 8.

For your other 3 sites, let us know how that goes! ??
