PHP 7.4 doesn’t work

Strange things are happening to my website. After installing the latest WP (6.3), I upgraded PHP to 8.1 (from 7.4) but this made my website not load, so I went back to PHP 7.4, but after changing PHP to 7.4, the website also stopped loading, so I downgraded PHP to 7.3 and now the website works. The problem is that many plugins do not work with php 7.3. I disabled all plugins and thems and updated php again to 7.4. Unfortunately, the page stopped loading again. I contacted the server provider and I was told: “it seems like the databases are not set up correctly”.
This sounds a bit strange since the database works when the website runs on PHP 7.3
Have any of you ever had a similar problem?
