PHP 7.3 compatibility

    My hosting provider has upgraded to PHP 7.3 and I experienced some php warnings and errors on my site (using the Pure & Simple child theme). They have had to revert back to 7.1 to eliminate the errors, but this is not a long-term solution. Will StyledThemes be updating the theme to make compatible with PHP 7.3, or can you advise on what updates I can make in the backend to work with 7.3?

    I actually realised that my pro theme was out of date, I purchased it in December 2015 and didn’t realise updates expired after one year. I have re-purchased the pro license, however I couldn’t find an old license key for my previous purchase and now if I try to install the latest theme it fails because the older version is already present. I don’t want to delete the existing pro theme as my child theme is built off this – can you please advise how I can update to the latest version?

    hello Jessica,
    You need to overwrite the files with the new version in the existing theme folder.
    You can use your hosting control panel’s file manager or FTP client to do so.

    Thank you for your help, I have overwritten the theme files through FTP and switched back to PHP7.3 and all looks good now!
