    Hi,
We are getting an error on our site that this plugin will not work with PHP 7. Is this something that will be updated soon?

Below is the error we are getting:
    FILE: /nas/content/live/tetherties/wp-content/plugins/mailchimp-for-
    woocommerce/includes/slack/Http/CurlInteractor.php
    —————————————————————————————————————————

All just another note. We are on wp-engine which was on PHP 5.9.9 and is now offering an upgrade to PHP 7. I have seen a few other people post here asking about the PHP version and mentioning wp-engine so I imagine this is an issue many people are going to soon encounter.

    Hey @ktoomey,

Thanks for reaching out. I would love to grab some additional details from you if you don’t mind to allow us to take a closer look. Could you please get back to us with the following information?

    – What theme is currently being used on your site?
    – What other plugins are currently enabled?
    – What version of MailChimp for WooCommerce is installed?
    – Does your site meet all of the minimum requirements listed here? https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/server-requirements/
    – A link to the site where the plugin is installed

Thanks. I realize that error is rather self-explanatory, but that additional information may help us move forward.

    Looking forward to your reply!

I have the same problem – I don’t really see how info about theme and other plugins should help? It’s a problem with a line of the code in the plugin, which is not supported in PHP7 – it wont matter what other plugins and themes are installed.

    Hey @emilnygaard,

Thanks for chiming in. While you are correct, this does appear to be a simple PHP error, those additional details are helpful for environment replication purposes, for testing. We want to be sure that we can replicate the error on our end, and while the environmental details may not be helpful in this case, I typically like to err on the side of caution and go ahead and get as much detail as possible jussssst to be safe.

That being said, we appreciate you taking the time to post – I have gone ahead and passed these details along internally for our development team to take a look at. In the meantime, if you wouldn’t mind getting back to us with those same details that would help us be sure to cover all bases as well.

    Thanks!

    Pearl

Well sure – my theme is called “Notio” and I’m using a strongly modified child theme.
Beside that I have a list of 45 active plugins, but the most notible might be Woocommerce, Visual Composer, and wpMandrill (which actually also it not PHP7 ready ?? )

    Hey @emilnygaard,

Thanks for indulging us! I’ll add these details to the case as well and reply back to this post with updates as I’m able. Thanks again! ??

Hey, I really hope you can fix the code for both MailChimp and mandrill so it’s compatible with PHP7.10 as soon as possible…

What’s the status on php7.10 capability?

    Best regards,
    Kent

    Hey @zorbiz ,

Thanks for your post. We are still seeing some errors with PHP 7 as mentioned earlier in this thread, though if you’re also seeing issues, we’d be glad to help investigate to be sure we’re tracking all cases of this happening. The more instances of this that we can track, the faster we can work towards a solution. When you have the chance, could you provide us with the following details mentioned in Pearl’s earlier post?

    – What theme is currently being used on your site?
    – What other plugins are currently enabled?
    – What version of MailChimp for WooCommerce is installed?
    – Does your site meet all of the minimum requirements listed here? https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/server-requirements/
    – A link to the site where the plugin is installed

Thanks in advance for these environment details that will help us a bit with putting this in the right context. We’ll keep an eye out for your reply.
