I had to switch from php 5.6 to 7.2 today. And the contact form submission doesn’t work. Host provider said that contact pages/forms/plugins may have an issue with the switch. Which it looks like yours does have an issue, since a test submission is not received. Please advise how to fix.

Provider suggested using plug wp mail smtp to get contact forms to use smtp instead of php scripting. Your input appreciated.

PS as of March php 5.6 will not longer be available globally, that is my understanding.

Another issue. The test email worked, but the submission form via wpforms was successfully sent but not received. I have no idea what is going on here between the wpmail smtp and the wpforms plugins.

    Hi Sharon,

If you were able to send out a test email from WP Mail SMTP, this should mean that your plugin settings has been set up properly.

The next step would be to check the notification settings of your form.

Specifically the email used in the ‘From Email’ of your notification settings in WPForms needs to be the same as the ‘From Email’ used in WP Mail SMTP.

    I hope this helps ??

I think you were right on. The from within wpforms had two from emails, but the wpmail smtp didn’t. I corrected that, did a test email and wpforms contact form submission and received them both. Thanks for your help. You have a great two plugins. Glad I was able to continue using them on my sites. Even my theme developer said he has never had a problem with your plugin with any php level.
