Photos not showing in posted article

  • Hi,
    I’ve been having problems over the last two weeks with a number of photos not showing in published articles. They show up in the “Edit Post” version, but not in the “View Post” mode. And it’s not all the photos within an article, either, just some. The blue caption with its text remains, but the photo itself is gone. Sometimes, there is simply a narrow rectangular white frame where the photo should be.     I’ve shrunk the file sizes, I’ve deleted my cache, I’ve disabled a Super Cache plug-in after reading a thread in the WP Support forum, but nothing helps. I should add that I’m using Chrome (and I’ve deleted my cached images from the browser).

    Most important fact, though, is that I have **NO** knowledge of how to fiddle about with plug-ins, technical stuff, code, or anything else. NONE. I might as well be a newborn. So, please, if you have any ideas or suggestions that might help, please explain it like you would to a complete idiot. lol. Seriously, though, I don’t know what I will do if the proposed solution is to go through all my plug-ins and individually disable them. Not that I have many. I only have a few, in addition to the usual SEO stuff or JetPack, but the thought of fiddling about with the programs terrifies me and I know I will somehow end up accidentally deleting my entire site. I’ve inadvertently made major screw-ups in the past when trying to fiddle with things.

    So, please, is there something other than emptying caches or deleting plug-ins which may help? I’m at my wits end at this point. :'( Perhaps some one from WP Support can have a look at my site and see if they can fix things behind the scenes?

    Unfortunately, I couldn’t see what you’re talking about on that page ??

    The page has several images on it, and I couldn’t see a single “narrow rectangular white frame where the photo should be”. Here’s what I see:

    I visited your site and all photos are showing. I even tried a couple of different posts…no problems here.

    Gosh, this is SUCH A RELIEF!!!!!!!! You don’t know how happy I am to hear this since a number of the photos are such an integral part to the piece. (You can’t know what bottle to look for if you can’t see what it looks like.) So, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!

    Why do you think some of the photos don’t show up for me? There are at least 6 empty slots with just the blue caption, maybe 7? Even after deleting Super Cache’s cache and disabling it, the problem persisted. Are you guys using Chrome or something else to see the post?

    Also, do you guys think I can reactivate the Super Cache plug-in and still avoid problems? Dream Host recommended it, saying it was needed for the smooth operation of site.

    Again, thank you so much. I can go to sleep without worrying now.
