Photos not showing

  • Hello,

    I have just installed my first theme on my server. All seem to be working except that photos are not showing up. I try different themes and I get the same problem. I followed the path where the photos are supposed to be stored but there are nothing in that specific folder. You can see my blog at https://www.lighteningup.ca

  • Two questions:

    1) How are you inserting photos into pages/posts?

    2) Where are your photos actually stored?

    Thanks for your reply! In answer to your questions:

    1) I’ve tried uploading photos in 4 ways: through new post with flash uploader and browser uploader and through adding new photos in the media library again with the same two uploaders.

    2) This is where I’m told the photos are stored but there is nothing in the “uploads” folder on my server: https://creationsbyginny.com/lighteningup/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/12jul09-150×150.jpg

    I’ve had the same problem at ekwetzel.com. I load photos through the “Media” section on the dashboard, and my photos don’t load for me there. I too would like to know how to reslove this.

    When on my dashboard and looking at the Media library, I even see the file names for the photos and a box where the image should be, but – alas – no photo.

    Same problem here. A little frustrated with 2.9.1 upgrade. I now am unable to insert images anywhere on my blog using the Image Widget plugin.I am able to insert static linked images from another websites. (https://newhottopics.com)I am able to see the images in the Media Library. I am able to upload images to the Media Library. I am able to select them to be shown. But when I click save it reverts back to the description text. I have checked to make sure the upload path is set to default in WordPress dashboard.

    Any help would be great.

    Same problem here. No error messages or anything.

    The uploads directory wasn’t created on my newest site at all.

    At least I am not the only one with this issue. Hope some others join in soon on this problem. I do believe it has something to do with the Image Widget and version 2.9.1.
