• I’ve got photos in different locations than the wp-content/uploads directory. Unfortunately, WordPress doesn’t seem to notice that the default upload location (under Settings -> Miscellaneous –> “Store uploads in this folder”) has changed.

This breaks the picture functionality from the posting page. I’ve tried working around it using .htaccess mod-rewrite RewriteRules, but I’m not skilled enough to pull this off.

Any suggestions? Any chance of a “fix”?

    Thanks.

  • I also have this problem.
Setting the “default location” just uploads allows the image uploader to upload to that folder, but the thumbs and URLs in the image uploader utility don’t seem to work as they’re pointing at the default wp-content/uploads directory.

Please, it seems that a lot of people have this problem. Why don’t wordpress team fix it?

I also upload my images, and it goes to /wp-content. But the wordpress links it on /wp-content/uploads folder. So this is a real bug!! What can I do, for myself, what file can I change to get this bug fixed?

    Sincerely,
    Thiago
