    Hi,

I am not sure if the issue I am experiencing is theme-related, woocommerce, or another plugin, but I’m not sure where to look to figure out the source of the issue.

Our current setup is products are created in Lightspeed X-Series, then published to woocommerce through API. We use the Blocksy (paid) theme. Currently, when the products transfer over to woocommerce, the photos show up on the frontend website and in the product edit page on the backend, but they are unattached in the wordpress media library. Occasionally some photos will be attached to a product, but I can’t seem to find a pattern/reason why.

This causes issues when we use our media cleaner (meow apps) because it tries to delete all unattached photos, most of which are for active products. I’m not sure when this issue started, but I do know that it happened within the past few months.

If this issue isn’t woocommerce related, do you have any ideas for who I should reach out to in order to figure out the cause?

    Hi @melasselin ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

As I understand, you are using Lightspeed X-Series to create your products, and then publish these to WooCommerce via API, is this correct?

Currently, when the products transfer over to woocommerce, the photos show up on the frontend website and in the product edit page on the backend, but they are unattached in the wordpress media library. Occasionally some photos will be attached to a product, but I can’t seem to find a pattern/reason why.

I am not sure I understand the underlying issue clearly. Are images added to the products successfully without any issues? Are they only added to the products occasionally? Please could you provide additional clarity, and if possible, screenshots of what you are seeing on your end on the front end of the site, as well as the backend?

Snipboard.io?can be used for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread.

I am not sure if the issue I am experiencing is theme-related, woocommerce, or another plugin, but I’m not sure where to look to figure out the source of the issue.

If you believe it may be due to a conflict, then I’d suggest performing a full conflict test to rule out any theme/plugin conflicts.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

If you don’t want to test on your live site, then create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging.

Let us know how this goes!

It appears that I am experiencing the same issue as this person where the product ID is not added to the?post_parent?column for the images added.

    Hi @melasselin

Thanks for sharing the related thread to your inquiry here. I can see that a Github report has been opened here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/37114

I would suggest subscribing to the thread to keep posted for updates.

    Thanks!
