    Lovely theme! Thank you!

I’m trying to find a way to have a photo from the posts show up in my home screen without showing the entire post. So I want to keep the truncated posts, but also have an image to draw people in, but I can’t find it anywhere in the menus. I could only find the option to show the entire post.

I’m new to WordPress, so explanations that cover all steps help.

  • You just need to set featured images for your posts. This would be useful as most themes use the featured images you set and display them.
Go to Edit Post and you’ll see a Set a featured image box on the right side. The results would be like on the demo site.

You gem! That did it! Thank you! Is there any way to alter the size of the featured photo if I want to? Or do I just have to make the photo smaller in the original file?

You would need to edit the originals. Or you can look for plugins that let you modify image sizes.

Thanks Vlad! This has been a real help. Initially WP is not very user-friendly at all, but I think I’m starting to get the feel of it.
