My blog is located athttps://ourtakeonfreedom.wordpress.com. When I upload and insert photos into posts, it seems as though WordPress’s compression/resizing significantly degrades the quality of the photos to the point where they are quite fuzzy. Clicking on the link to the image source file reveals a high-quality photo.

I have tried exporting the files from iPhoto to precisely fit the dimensions of the blog text area, but that hasn’t helped.

    Any ideas?

Try re-sizing the photo so the width is within your blog posting area, which on your site, it’s 550px.

I use Pixlr.com for quick and simple image resizes. When you save your image, re-upload and see how that works. WordPress’ image re-sizing isn’t the best, but it gets the job done, hence some loss.
