When viewed on smaller screen sizes (or just reduce browser window size) and especially in portrait orientation, the photo captions/titles overlay each other on neighboring photos. It doesn’t appear to be properly responding to the size change.

Not sure if a different configuration would fix?

    Invoking via shortcode: [flickrgallery type=’flickr’ user_id=’**deleted**’ view=’photosets’]
In General Settings using pure javascript Lightgallery.

    Thanks for any assistance!

It looks like you have your layout set to display 3 columns regardless of screen size – this makes fitting long titles mathematically improbable.

You might want to consider setting your number of columns to auto instead of 3. That way it will push extra images to the next row on smaller screens.

Another layout to consider would be the Justified Grid layout, which will automatically size the thumbnails to fill out each row.

Thank you for the qick reply. That’s the kind of setting I was looking for, but honestly just wasn’t seeing it… lol
Went back through and found ‘Constrain Photosets Per Row’.
Changed from ‘Fix the number of thumbnails per row’ to ‘Fix the padding around the thumbnails’.
Didn’t see the number of columns with an auto option.

Fixes the problem on smaller screens – but now only displays ‘2 up’ on larger screens… Tried adjusting padding numbers, but not having any effect.
    Will keep looking. ??

Right… that is because each of your thumbnails is slightly bigger than one-third of your screen.

As I have suggested in my previous post, try considering one of the more flexible layouts. You can see them in action here.

I’ve been playing with the other layouts… the masonry layout looks good, but has the albums in random order…
‘Random Justified Gallery’ (in addition to being random) overlays all the titles.

Is there a version of these I am missing that retains the order of albums in a photoset?

Again my thanks for your fast replies…

the masonry layout looks good, but has the albums in random order…

The masonry layout arranges items in sequence, but from top to bottom – it isn’t a random order.

‘Random Justified Gallery’ (in addition to being random) overlays all the titles.

This is actually not “random” in the default scheme of things. Your albums will display in the same sequence that you are seeing in the square layout. There is a variant of this layout that uses JavaScript-based rendering – that can make things random upon resizing a page, and doesn’t guarantee the same image sizes in between two reloads. This used to be the default earlier, hence the name “Random justified grid”. But a few releases back I added CSS-based rendering for the Justified Grid (and this is the new default) – this is not random.

The only truly random layout is the “Mosaic” layout.

I didn’t get the point about “overlays all the titles”. The justified grid cannot support titles below the image – it will mess up the layout, because there is no telling what the length of the titles is going to be. So you can either use tooltips, or you can have them cover the lower portion of the image, or you can have them cover the lower portion only when you hover over the image.

Thank you again… gives me at least 2 workable options.
I didn’t notice the masonry was ordered top to bottom.

    Appreciate your support!
