Hi, I would like to know if using Photon CDN with Cloudflare will affect the webp serving or not.

I understand that “If your browser supports the .webp image format, images will be served as .webp (note that the extension won’t change).” but, everything is cached by Cloudflare, would that make photon to serve always webp or non-webp?

Is it necessary to create an exception rule in Cloudflare to exclude images from being cached?

    Thanks,
    Ignacio

    Hi Ignacio,

If you’re using CloudFlare’s CDN, it would be better to disable Jetpack’s as having two CDNs try to serve the same content is not recommended.

If it’s possible to exclude specific content from being served by CloudFlare’s CDN that might work, but I don’t really know.
