Photon Removing Slides From .Gifs

  • Hello,

    We launched an affiliate program and therefore had a bunch of banners made. Some of which are animated and are in .gif format.

    We uploaded these (we’re using the WP Affiliate Platform) and noticed that the Photon CDN URLs of the images were removing slides from most of the gifs, thereby rendering the gifs incorrectly.

    The .gifs render correctly when Photon is deactivated.

    I have heard that Photon does not handle .gifs all that well, but it would be great to be able to leverage Photon for reasons that are obvious.

    Any ideas…?

    Meanwhile, we did in the past have issues with animated gifs, but they should be fixed now, so I’d love to see your gifs to see if there’s something about them that we can fix.
