Photon conflicts with flexmls? IDX Plugin in Jetpack 4.0.4
-
The latest version of Jetpack (4.0.4 from June 20,2016) created a conflict between Photon and the flexmls? IDX Plugin which I use on my real estate site locatehome-dot-com for people to search available homes for sale on the Multiple Listing Service. The flexmls IDX plugin pulls off-site data from a separate server, including photos, to display information about homes. (Note: That plugin has not had any changes for 4 months, and the problem coincides with the latest update to Jetpack.)
Since the Jetpack update last week, when Photon is activated in Jetpack, it is impossible to click to advance through the photo galleries on homes for sale. The main photo and the thumbnails load from the other server for each home, but clicking arrows to scroll through large versions of the thumbnails or clicking directly on the thumbnails will not change to any other photos. When I turn Photon off, the functionality returns. When I turn Photon on again, the ability to scroll through the photos breaks again, so I have to keep it disabled.
By the way, searching the homes database with the flexmls? IDX Plugin is done using the black, “Easy Home Search” widget on the home page of my site. I hope that you can fix the problem.
