PHOTOlulu – my first photo highlights blog

  • This is my first theme I designed over a year ago and after few upgrades, my site is still compatible with the new WordPress version. Before moving to WordPress, I was updating my site via Dreamweaver or the usual hard-coding.

    I like the site alot! You have so much information, but in my opinion, the site doesn’t look cluttered. Awesome job!

    Oh no…my wordpress is now in trouble after installing a widget. Now I’m getting all these errors:

    Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/photolu/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 686

    Can someone help me?

    Now I can’t even login ??

    When I login, all I get are these errors:

    Delete that plugin via FTP (the one you just installed)

    I’ve done that, I even disabled all plugins. After logging in, I can no longer access my dashboard because of the errors.

    I finally got my site backup. After hours searching for a solution, this did it:

    You have some kind of broken text widget settings. This is a common problem, but not particular to 2.6.

    1. Reupload 2.6 correctly.
    2. Add this to your theme’s functions.php file:
    delete_option(‘widget_text’);
    3. Load your webpage a couple of times.
    4. Remove that line from the functions.php file again. You don’t want to leave it there.
    5. Go fix up your text widgets, as they’ll be deleted by this process.

    I just followed step #2 and it worked! Now I have to redo all the text widgets ??

    I don’t know what screwed up my WordPress, but the last thing I did was added an iframe code to my text widget. After saving the changes, that’s when my site broke down with all those errors.

    The code I used was from a Beijing Olympic medal tally widget…

    You should not display a valid xhtml logo on your site if it does not validate! You’ve also got css errors.

    Chrisber – Invalid xhtml logo? The only thing that does not validate on my main site are the posts coming from twitter or an outside rss feed.

    These are the only errors I’m getting…

    As for the CSS, the errors are coming from some third-party plugins’ css.
