Photocrati and Wordpess file hiarachy

Hi all, in general I’ve been quite happy with the support from Photocrati. They’re quite responsive until you ask a technical question. Anyway, I asked them which elements of WordPress are impacted by their index.php file keeping in mind that I am familiar with the WordPress file hiarachy and as far as I can see the only area affected by this file is the blog index – I merely needed their confirmation or otherwise. Their response was basically that they can’t help and that I should post on WordPress Support forum. Needless to say I was less than impressed with this as a paying customer of a premium theme. Anyway can anyone assist answer the question or was I right in approaching Photocrati directly?
