Photo Upload appearing upside down on desktop

  • Hello,

    When using a photo upload section, some images will display upside down on the desktop version but, on the mobile site, they are correct. It does not happen on all photos, but many of my users are seeing the issue. I already reset the theme to the default but, that did not fix the issue.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @kcpbr,

    Can you please attach the screenshots of this issue so we can better understand it.
    Have you tried to do a conflict test by disabling all plugins except Ultimate member and switching to the default theme? Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test.
    Please also make sure that you have the latest 2.0.24 version of the plugin installed.

    After some testing, the issue appears to be from certain photos uploaded from mobile phones. After deactivating plugins and reverting to base theme, I tried uploading various photos and the issue appears to be effecting photos uploaded from mobile phones. The issue is not affecting all photos but, only certain ones. Once downloaded, the photos appear in the correct orientation. I assume this is an issue that effects the reading of the orientation information on the desktop version of Ultimate member. Because the photos are correct on the mobile site.

    I understand this issue is hard to solve since, it does not effect all images.

    It would be nice if you could tell us what steps we should take to replicate this issue.
    Is it happens on an iPhone or Android device, what browser do you use?

    Same issue here.
    It happens with iPhone 8 , iOS latest version.

    And the blue square that allows the correct framing of the picture is not working 100% properly …
