Photo shortcode ideas

  • Have no idea if this can even be implemented but I am trying to use more of the photos from ip my wppa galleries in wp posts. While working on this I had two ideas regarding the shortcode. When using the shortcode inserted it would be nice to have the option to search the existing photo using the wppa assigned number. That is the number that is used in the shortcode `[type=”photo” photo=”nnn”] Also being able to set vertical and horizontal size or chosen the size from the wp image sizes would be a huge asset.

    Like I said maybe overreach but just something I thought to share from a usability stand point.

    On the Album Admin page (where the table of albums is) is a green input field.
    You can enter the id there and the photo will be found.

    I understand that you would like this also on the frontend e.g. the search photos widget or box? If so, pls tell me, than i will implement it in the next version.

    You can set the width of the photo as follows (e.g. for 350 pixels)
    [wppa type="photo" photo="nnn" size="350"]
    or e.g. half the available width:
    [wppa type="photo" photo="nnn" size="0.5"]

    On Table IX-L, you can specify the shortcode [photo nnn] with predefined size etc.
    This makes it even easier.

    What you describe is exactly what I have been doing but I would like to have a thumbnail 150×150 like WP to look the same and the current implementation doesn’t seem to do that am I incorrect?

    Can you supply me a link that shows what you want (the 150 x 150 WP image)?
