Is it possible to not allow extension on the photoname to show. In other words is there a setting I can turn that off for. Having thousands of images to add to this gallery, I simply don’t have the time to go thru them all and delete them one by one.

Next (I posted this in another topic also) Is it possible to turn downloads off?

Next, I don’t often put images into a album or a sub album itself, is there a way to draw in a image from one of the sub albums.. Let’s say I have this setup like the following:

2013 Recipes – uploaded no photos here.
2013-01 Recipes – uploaded no photos here
2013-01 Phillips Recipes (will have all his recipe photos in that gallery/album)

Would it not be possible to allow those first two subfolders to randomly choose an image from the subfolders with images in them?

On the 20 image upload limit, is this really host based? If so, what do I need to do to ask my host to change that limit. It seems odd that I can add a 348 meg file, but am limited to only 20 files to upload at a time.

Not yet, will be considered for a future version, since we have recently added the orig filname into the db, it could be done now.

If the purpose is to have a cover image, copy a few into this album and make sure the photocount treshold value is larger than that number. ( See Table I-A4 )

It is a PHP configuration setting. See Table XII: PHP configuration, section Core -> max_file_uploads. Ask your hosting provider if it is possible to increase that number. Be aware that max_input_time is the maximum time it may take to actually upload, so that may become your next limitation.

Thanks for the quick response. I would even be willing to pay to have that extension removed option before I start the heavier work load of many images in one album.

I don’t want my images downloaded either, since there is no real reason for them to download them being that the images will come in the downloaded file as it is, so there’s no need for them to download them.

I’ll talk to my host today and see if I can’t get that number upped a bit. I find that interesting that the number would be so low but they’d allow 1 file at 350 megs.. LOL

This gallery is so perfect for me and I really love how easy it is to use.

I will implement removing the file-extension in the next version ( 5.0.4 )
This will take a few days only. I count on a generous donation when you are satisfied.

I patched it, simply de-activate and delete the plugin and install a new version. It has the same version number, so it will not auto update.

If done, Check Table IX-B11, all set. Cheers!

This should work now if you re-install the plugin and Check Table IX-B11.
