• I’ve googled around but haven’t found a clear answer to what I’m hoping to find…I’m trying to build a website for a group of photographers and what I would like is, besides an easy way to upload individual photos into wordpress (as the basic WP setup provides), is a way to tag these photos and make them available via RSS. So that I could easily create an xml feed of all photos tagged “Apple”, for example.

I’m not only looking for a photogallery theme, this is meant to serve as a regular blog too for the members, but I want the workflow to consist of them uploading photos to the CMS, which would give them a location to point a blogpost’s img tag to, and automatically provide an xml feed for a Flash gallery to read from.

FWIW, the clients are currently trying Nextgen gallery…Have only toyed around with it currently, and I don’t know if the problems I’m having with it are because of the client’s current setup or from NextGen…namely I can’t access photos by tag. Anyone else have experience with it?

To give an idea of what I’m trying to do…I’ve considered having the photogs upload to Flickr or Photoshelter or similar photo service with API. So in a normal blog post, if they want to link to a photo, they can link to where it’s stored on Flickr. Each photog has several galleries, and these galleries could be fed using the API and XML fed through Flickr. Of course, there are issues with putting things on Flickr plus the added complexity of managing both WordPress and Flickr accounts.
