Photo Gallery thumbnails distorted after wordpress update to 4.9.6

    After WordPress automatically updated my website to WordPress 4.9.6 yesterday, my Photo Gallery thumbnails have become distorted. They were fine before, but now some of them are stretched/distorted and some are blurry.

    I have tried manually changing the thumbnails in the gallery, reseting the thumbnails, resetting the photos, optimising the photos, unpublishing and republishing the gallery/photos, and I’ve also tried changing the thumbnail sizes in settings, but none of it makes any difference on the distorted thumbnail images.

    One interesting thing of note is that some of the thumbnail issues were different yesterday than today- i.e. some photo thumbnails that were clear yesterday after the update are now blurry today (on the same browser). The thumbnails also have different issues depending on which browser is used to view the page.

    I’d be grateful for any advice on how to fix this issue. Thanks very much!

    Please note that your images are being served by Jetpack. So, please contact them and let them know to disable images serving from their servers.
