Photo Gallery Plugin recomendations

Hi all.
I am looking for suggestions for a suitable plugin to use for a photo gallery. I have tried Photosmash so far and even though it does most of the functions I was after I did have some problems with it.

1. When I set a photogallery on a page there is a huge gap under the photo area between the footer of the page
2. I had a problem with the database and photosmash – something about wrong permissions and perhaps coincidently (or not) I lost all my tags and categories on all existing posts and I could not create new ones.

After I deactivated the plugin and logged out – within a few minutes while I was writing a post related to losing Categories and Tags everything was back to normal (minus the Photogallery) Phew!
ANyway the functions I am after:

• Ability for registered users to upload photos
• Ability to create multiple galleries (categories) and display them on seperate pages (not posts)
• A search function to find photos by name ot tags
• thick box display function – not neccessary but nice
• Stability, I could do without fancies in place of stability

SO any advise / suggestions would be much appreciated
