Photo Gallery Plug-In?

    Many CMSs include an image gallery system; often seen as integral. yet I cannot find one in WordPress. Am I missing something obvious or is there a plug in or can someone recommend another tool for this job?

    It must be fully customisable so that I can make it match my theme.
