    Redirection plugin 2.10.1
    Photo Gallery plugin 1.3.65

    Greetings

I’ve been talking to the Photo Gallery plugin people about the onslaught of 404s I’ve been seeing in the Redirection 404 log. The 404s all have valid Photo Gallery folder and file names but the path is wrong. The IP addresses appear to be in the valid range for Googlebot-Image. The gallery itself works perfectly on the front end, and the 404s aren’t triggered by browsing in the gallery. There are no crawl errors reported in Google Search Console.

The Photo Gallery people asked me this question: Could you please let us know where the redirection plugin gets its URL addresses from?

If it’s possible for you to answer this question, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Redirection logs any 404 access to your site – it gets them from the request made to your site when WordPress triggers a 404 page.

Thank you for taking the time to answer this post. I’ll pass that answer back to the Photo Gallery people. ??
