photo album from external directory

    I’m looking for a Word Press plugin that allows me to
    display an array of thumbnails and when the user clicks on a
    particular image, the full resolution version is displayed and can be
    downloaded. I want to access the thumbnail and full resolution
    versions from another directory (not the Word Press directory) on my
    site.

    @jimstuhmiller – Although you can “Import” from a folder outside your WordPress installation folder it must still reside in your site’s filesystem.

    Part of the import process also allows you to leave the images where they are versus copying them into NextGEN Gallery as well.

    I have installed NextGEN, but I don’t see how to tell it to take the pictures from another directory on my website.

    Where do I do that?

    The “import” folder options seem only to be in the same directory as the WordPress directory for the site. How do I select other directories on my website?
