    Hi,

I have a big list with meetings, about 1800 of them, and most of the phone numbers get mismatched when I’m using the Import feature. I tried to insert a minus (-) to the cells where there’s no phone number, but it’s still happening. Some meetings have the phone number removed, some get the phone numbers from another meetings.

Please help. Do you have any idea why is this happening?

    Thanks!

  • hi,

phone numbers are for groups so you can only have one per group name. my guess is that that is the issue youre encountering

if you want them to be per meeting then leave the group name blank

i jusy had surgery and only have one hand available for the next few weeks. i can help you more ioncew ive healed

Thank you so much for the quick reply!

I cleared the Group Name and now the phone numbers are imported correctly, but I’m not having the Districts anymore :(. I randomly checked for some groups that didn’t have the phone number imported correctly and there’s just one phone number for all the meetings, meaning it’s the same phone number entered in the Phone column for all the meetings of that group. Should I enter it only in one cell, to no matter which meeting of that group?

The Districts are important and we don’t want to lose them.

    Thanks!

PS: Wish you a quick recovery!

I forgot to add, some meetings that don’t have a phone number, get one after importing the CSV file.

Ok, so because of the district you’ll need the group name.

So you only get one phone number per group name. Each meeting at that group will get the same number.

If you import various numbers for the same group name it will pick one and apply it to each meeting in that group.

IF it needs to be different then there’s only one thing you can do, put the number in the notes field.

Yes, all the meetings for a specific group have the same phone number, but still, the meetings get the phone number from another group. And some that don’t have a phone number at all, after using the Import feature receive a phone number..

The phone number mismatch was detected after quite a while and there were meetings added manually after we imported them and now we had to go through all the meetings (from the exported CSV file) to fix them, but to no avail because when I import them back the same thing happens. I’m not sure what to do.

    Thanks for your help!

Ok, sounds like there could be a bug here, could you email the file to [email protected] and note a few meetings that got screwed up, maybe with some screenshots?

Still, keep in mind that it won’t ever be able to have different numbers for individual meetings within the same group (except by using the notes field).

Also i won’t be able to work on this until February at the soonest becaus of the Hans situation.

I emailed you the file. Yes, I randomly checked the meetings from some groups that had the phone number mismatched and all the meetings have the same phone number..

Thanks a lot for your help!

hey i think i found the problem. could you try version 3.3.1 (just released) to see if its fixed?

    thanks for spotting it
