• Hey there!

I’ve noticed when implementing the WhatConverts plug-in to my various client websites that sometimes the swap number that is generated is correctly formatted (000-000-0000) and other times it’s very jumbled looking and incorrectly formatted. You can see this in the url I’ve provided.

It also makes this change wherever the number is listed throughout the website. Is there a way I can go in and edit this myself without the use of a developer? Let me know what you think.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Aubrey,

We do apologize for the delay. We haven’t previously had any questions submitted through WordPress and were not notified of any questions. We have updated our alerts.

To answer your question regarding swap numbers being generated correctly or incorrectly, when you are setting up your tracking numbers and dynamic number pools in WhatConverts, you need to make sure to remove all formatting from your “Swap Number” field in WhatConverts.

For example, if a number on a website looks like (555) 555-1234, your swap number field in WhatConverts needs to be 5555551234. This ensures that our numbers follow the correct formatting on your site.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Best,

    Jennifer
