Phone number field validation wrong

The phone number field allows for phone numbers to be inserted incorrectly.

I was able to enter a phone number like this:

1234567890—- as you can see it accepted the —- with no error

Also, is it possible to add a mask to the phone number field? That way we can allow users to only enter phone numbers in this format:

123-456-7890

P.S I know there’s a doc for custom validation but this is a default field
