    It looks like a bug.

    For now use the Single Line Text field and check Enable Masked Input
    then place 999-99999-9999999999 in the mask field.

    This will do the trick while I sort it out.

    is there any option to validate text-area characters?

    example: maximum word of text area is- 1000

    I have done with it. mask field is working well. but i want to enter only last number . when i clicked on last number (999-99999-9999999999) my cursor is auto moved to initial. how to fix it.
