Phone from web site

  • I just did a site for someone. Now he wants to know if someone views it on their smart phone if I can make it so they just tap the phone number on the page to dial. Is there a plugin for that? I’ve never had it come up before.

  • I’ve had one of the designers here ask this question the other day!

    What happens is that the phone number must be in plain text and without any links applied to it. The phones browser will pick up the number from the text that’s in the correct phone number format and dials it when a user presses that area. this works on iPhones and iPads but I haven’t been able ot get it to work on a Samsung yet.
