Is anyone else having trouble getting the default Phone field to work on mobile devices?

My cellphone treats the “(___)___-____” as literal characters in the field, so that when I start typing numbers, it just pushes those characters to the right and it looks like “81(___)___-____”

    Please advise.

The field does work correctly on desktop browsers.

  • Hello! Thanks for using Ninja Forms!

I tested this on my iPhone and it works as expected. What kind of phone are you using?

It doesn’t work on a Galaxy Note Edge (running chrome) and a Galaxy Note 2 (running chrome). It also deoesn’t work on a Nokia Lumia 635 (running Internet Explorer).

It does work on a Galaxy Note Edge stock browswer. It works on an iPad. It works on an iPhone.

It seems the functionality works on some configurations but not others. It should probably undergo some more thorough testing on different devices.

Interesting. Perhaps you can change the input mask and it’ll work on most, if not all, devices.
