• Hi!

I saw in your FAQ about PhastPress and Google Analytics. I’m using GA Google Analytics plugin, should I set up something or this is automatic like Monsterinsights? If I have to do something else, what should i do?

I hope you can help me, thank you.

    Hi @oizovski,

Google Analytics should work even if you don’t add the data-phast-no-defer attribute, but it is better if it is added, since it makes the visit tracking more reliable.

I’ve contacted the creator of GA Google Analytics to ask him whether he can add the attribute in the scripts output by that plugin.

In the meantime you could manually add the Google Analytics script to your page instead of using a plugin.

    Hi @oizovski,

The creator of GA Google Analytics has let me know that the next update should contain a new hook that allows PhastPress to be disabled for the scripts inserted by that plugin.

Until then, you can leave it as it is, or manually insert your Google Analytics scripts.

Hi @kiboit , i’m sorry for the delay. I didn’t get notify about your answer.

So, you recommend manually insert the Google Analytics script, right? Ok, i’ll do that. I hope GA Google Analytics release the next update soon.

    Thank you.

    Hey @oizovski,

The creator of GA Google Analytics added the required hook to his plugin last month, and I’ve now updated PhastPress to make use of it. After updating to PhastPress 1.76, GA Google Analytics’ scripts should no longer be deferred by PhastPress, and tracking should work as intended.
