Phast PHP file causing 5 second load time

    Hey Jake,

    I loaded your page a few times, and the phast.php script loads quickly for me. Perhaps there was an issue the first time the page was loaded, due to high server load, or slow processing.

    On the first request Phast minifies scripts and stylesheets, that might take a few hundred milliseconds more, but definitely not 4+ s as in your test.

    In any case, the load of phast.php does not delay the render of your page– it is asynchronous.
